UMAA Convention Returns to Toronto with Sacred Artifacts from Karbala North America’s Largest Shia Muslim Convention to Host Replica of the Helmet of Abul Fadhl Al-Abbas (AS) and Immersive VR Experience

TORONTO, ON – September 10, 2025 – The United Muslim-American Association (UMAA) is proud to announce its 21st Annual Convention, returning to Toronto, Canada, for the first time in 15 years. This highly anticipated event will take place from October 10th to 12th, 2025, at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre.

In a truly historic and spiritually profound announcement, UMAA confirmed that the Holy Shrines of Abul Fadhl Al-Abbas (AS) will send sacred relics for exclusive display at the convention.

A Historic Presence from Karbala

The central feature of this unique and reverent display will be a replica of the Helmet of Abul Fadhl Al-Abbas (AS), provided by the Al-Kafeel Museum, located inside the Holy Shrine. This rare exhibit offers attendees an unprecedented opportunity for spiritual reflection and connection with the historical and spiritual heritage of the Imams.

The display will also include an Immersive VR Experience, with several Virtual Reality (VR) units available to offer attendees a unique, firsthand journey inside the Holy Shrines of Karbala.
